These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the y.hn website, application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Yazhou Hu, sole proprietor (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

1. Overview of the Service

y.hn is a URL shortener that provides link shortening, tracking, and analytics services. The Service is available via our website at https://y.hn and our mobile applications.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • One person or legal entity per account, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Subscription Plans and Pricing

4.1 Plans

y.hn offers the following subscription plans:

  • Free: Basic URL shortening and limited analytics at no cost.
  • Pro: $4.99 per month — Advanced analytics, custom domains, and additional features.
  • Business: $19.99 per month — Full-featured plan for teams and businesses with priority support.

Features and pricing are subject to change. We will provide reasonable notice of any material changes to pricing.

4.2 Payment Processing

All payments for the Service are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. Paddle handles all billing, payment processing, invoicing, sales tax, and VAT on our behalf. By purchasing a subscription, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

4.3 Billing and Renewal

  • Subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date.
  • You will be charged at the then-current rate for your plan upon renewal.

4.4 Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • You will retain access to paid features until the end of the billing period for which you have already paid.
  • No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period, except as described in our Refund Policy.

4.5 Free Trials

If we offer a free trial, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless canceled before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.

5. Permitted Use

You may use y.hn to shorten, manage, and track URLs for lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Create short links to illegal, harmful, or malicious content.
  • Distribute malware, phishing links, or deceptive URLs.
  • Use the Service for spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or fraudulent activity.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, abuse the API, or overload our infrastructure.
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use the Service to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without our prior written authorization.
  • Create links to content that promotes violence, hate speech, discrimination, or exploitation.
  • Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.

We reserve the right to disable any short link or suspend any account that violates these Terms, without prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property

  • The Service, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is owned by y.hn and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
  • You retain ownership of the content your short links point to. You are solely responsible for that content.
  • You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and redirect your links as part of providing the Service.

8. Link Content and Responsibility

  • You are solely responsible for the URLs you shorten and the content they direct to.
  • We do not proactively monitor all link destinations but may review links flagged for abuse.
  • We may disable links that violate these Terms or applicable law without notice.

9. Analytics Data

  • Click analytics are provided on an “as-is” basis and may not be 100% accurate.
  • Analytics data availability and retention depend on your subscription plan.
  • We reserve the right to aggregate and anonymize analytics data for service improvement and statistical purposes.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

11. Refunds

Our refund practices are described in our Refund Policy. All refunds are processed through Paddle as the Merchant of Record.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Y.HN AND ITS OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless y.hn and its operator from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

15. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
  • You may delete your account at any time through the Service or by contacting us.
  • Upon termination, your short links may be deactivated and your data may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 7, 12, 13, 14, and 16.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the jurisdiction where the operator resides.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and y.hn regarding your use of the Service.
